BRIGHTONE in Seoul

BRIGHTONE addresses pigment and visible vessels in the same treatment, which makes it a useful option when melasma or uneven tone comes with redness.

What BRIGHTONE is and what it treats

Pigment and redness often appear together. Someone with melasma may also have flushed cheeks or fine visible vessels, and treating only one of these can leave the skin still looking uneven. BRIGHTONE is a device in our Skin Renewal programme designed to address both pigment and vessels, so the doctor can work on brown and red tones within one plan.

In our Skin Renewal programme, BRIGHTONE appears in two categories: pigment (melasma, blemishes, tone), where it sits alongside PICOALEX and Nobleen ; and redness and sensitive skin , where it sits alongside Mirajet and skin boosters. Your doctor will explain the specific settings and approach for your skin at consultation.

Which layer it targets and who it suits

Our doctors use an 8-layer Skin Architecture model — epidermis, upper dermis, full-thickness dermis, lower dermis, subcutaneous fat, fascia, muscle and bone. Pigment can sit in the epidermis or dermis, and the small vessels behind redness lie in the dermis. BRIGHTONE is chosen when both need attention at once.

BRIGHTONE may suit you if you have:

  • Melasma accompanied by redness
  • Uneven tone with both brown and red patches
  • Facial redness or visible small vessels
  • Skin that tends to react, where a combined, careful approach is preferable

If redness relates to a medical condition such as rosacea, a doctor examines your skin first and plans accordingly. See facial redness , rosacea and melasma .

What happens on the day

Your first consultation is with a director. Mark-Vu imaging can analyse pigment and redness separately — as well as pores, wrinkles and oil–moisture balance — which helps the doctor see how much of your uneven tone is brown and how much is red. All findings go into your Skin Library.

Before main treatments we reinforce the barrier with ceramides and HA, which matters especially for redness-prone skin. The doctor then performs the treatment at settings chosen for you and finishes with barrier protection care.

Downtime, results and aftercare

Some temporary redness can occur and generally settles; the doctor will tell you what to expect for your settings. Because skin renews on roughly a 28-day cycle, and both pigment and vessels respond gradually, a course of sessions is usually recommended. Results vary from person to person.

  • Use SPF50+ daily — essential after pigment treatment
  • Follow your pH-5.5-matched prescribed home care
  • Avoid heat triggers such as saunas while skin is settling, if your doctor advises

Often combined with

BRIGHTONE is a core part of our Melasma Program and Redness & Sensitivity Program . For deeper pigment, PICOALEX may be added; for maintenance, Nobleen toning; for barrier support, skin boosters or Mirajet.

Is it right for me?

If your concern is pigment only, or redness only, another single-purpose option may be enough. If you have very reactive skin, the doctor may start with barrier care before any device treatment. Any unusual spot is assessed first and referred for medical evaluation where needed.

For international visitors

A BRIGHTONE session can fit into a short stay, though best results usually come from a series. Protect your skin carefully from the sun while sightseeing. The clinic is about 5 minutes on foot from Jonggak and Euljiro 1-ga stations, close to Myeongdong, and you can plan in English on WhatsApp.

How it compares with similar options

Within the Skin Renewal programme, each pigment device has a slightly different role. The doctor chooses based on what your skin shows at consultation:

  • BRIGHTONE — chosen when pigment and redness appear together, so both can be addressed in one plan.
  • PICOALEX — a picosecond laser often considered for deeper or more stubborn pigment.
  • Nobleen — low-energy laser toning, commonly used to maintain results in melasma-prone skin.
  • Mirajet — needle-free delivery of hydrating and brightening ingredients, gentle for sensitive skin.

These are not competing choices so much as tools that can be sequenced. For example, a plan might start with barrier care, use BRIGHTONE for a series, then move to toning for maintenance. Your Skin Library record keeps each step consistent.

BRIGHTONE: common questions

  • Can BRIGHTONE help with melasma and redness together?

That is what it is chosen for. Because it addresses both pigment and vessels, the doctor can work on brown and red tones in one plan. Results vary from person to person.

  • Is BRIGHTONE suitable for sensitive skin?

It is part of our approach to redness and sensitive skin, but the doctor examines you first. Very reactive skin may need barrier care before any device treatment.

  • How many sessions are needed?

A series is usually recommended because pigment and vessels respond gradually and skin renews on roughly a 28-day cycle. The doctor sets the number and spacing.

  • How much does BRIGHTONE cost?

It depends on the area and number of sessions. Ask us on WhatsApp for a personalised quote.
