International patient FAQ

Short, practical answers to the questions visitors ask us most — from booking and language to downtime, payment and finding the clinic in central Seoul.

Booking and communication

How do I book?

The easiest way is WhatsApp in English at wa.link/oblivmyeongdong. Send your travel dates, what you would like help with and, if you wish, clear photos taken in daylight. You can also call +82 2-6956-3438 or email official@oblivseoul.kr. Step-by-step details are on How to Book .

Will someone speak English?

Yes. Our WhatsApp booking line is in English, and we help international visitors through consultation, treatment and aftercare. See English Support .

Can I get advice before I arrive?

We can talk through your goals on WhatsApp and suggest what a consultation might cover, but a treatment plan is only confirmed once a doctor has examined your skin in person.

Consultation and treatment

Who will I see?

A director sees you from the first consultation. Our doctors include Park Young-jin (Chief Director), Yang Myeong-hyeon (Dermatology Chief Director) and Kim Yun-gi (Education Director), along with Directors Park Hyun-soo, Lee Jong-hyeok, Shim Ho-yeon and Oh Ye-bin.

How do you decide what I need?

We use an 8-layer Skin Architecture model — epidermis, upper dermis, full-thickness dermis, lower dermis, subcutaneous fat, fascia, muscle and bone. The doctor works out which layer a concern begins in, decides the depth and then chooses the device. Mark-Vu imaging can help analyse pores, pigment, wrinkles, redness and oil–moisture balance.

Can I have treatment on the same day as my consultation?

Often yes, if the doctor agrees it is suitable. Many treatments start with barrier reinforcement using ingredients such as ceramides and hyaluronic acid, with barrier protection afterwards.

Can I combine several treatments in one trip?

Frequently, yes — for example energy lifting with a collagen stimulator. The doctor advises on order and spacing. Read Combining Treatments in One Trip .

Costs and payment

How much will it cost?

Costs depend on your plan, so ask us on WhatsApp for a personalised quote. More on Prices & Quotes .

Can I get a tax refund?

Eligibility depends on current Korean rules and the treatment you have. Please ask the team when you book. See Tax Refund for Visitors .

Downtime and travel

How long should I stay in Seoul?

It depends on the treatment. Some, such as Botox or laser toning, involve little downtime; resurfacing lasers need more recovery. For lifting, a pulling sensation is common straight after and the full result develops over 3–6 months, so you will see it at home. Our How Long to Stay page helps you plan.

Can I fly soon after treatment?

Usually, but timing matters. After injectables, avoid touching the area for 4–6 hours and avoid the sauna, alcohol and strenuous exercise that day. After laser, protect your skin with SPF50+. See Downtime & Travel .

What happens after I go home?

Every treatment is recorded in your Skin Library, and you leave with pH-5.5-matched prescribed home care. You can message us on WhatsApp with questions after your trip.
