Paying for treatment at Obliv Clinic Seoul

No surprises at the front desk. Here is how quotes, payment and paperwork work for international visitors, and what to confirm with us on WhatsApp before you travel.

Start with a quote, not a price list

Aesthetic treatment is rarely one fixed item. The device, the depth, the number of shots or syringes and whether barrier care is added before and after all depend on what the doctor finds when they examine your skin. That is why we do not publish a single price for each treatment. Instead, we give you a personalised quote. Send us your concerns, a few clear photos in daylight and your travel dates on WhatsApp, and the team will explain the likely options and a cost range for each. Ask us on WhatsApp for a personalised quote whenever you are ready.

A quote sent before you arrive is a starting point. The final plan is agreed in person with a director at your consultation, after Mark-Vu imaging and a proper look at your skin. If the doctor recommends something different from what you discussed online, they will explain why and what it changes before anything is done. You are never expected to agree to treatment on the spot.

How payment works on the day

  1. Consultation. You meet a director, discuss your goals and review your skin analysis together.
  2. Agreeing the plan. The treatments, number of sessions and total cost are confirmed with you in English before treatment begins.
  3. Payment. You settle the agreed amount at reception, usually before your treatment starts. If your plan has several steps or several visits, the team will explain whether it is paid per visit or together.
  4. Records. Every treatment is recorded in your Skin Library, our digital record, so the details of what you had are kept for future visits.

Which payment methods are accepted?

Accepted payment methods can change, so we prefer to confirm them with you directly rather than list them here. When you message us on WhatsApp, simply ask which cards and other methods the clinic accepts for international visitors, and whether any method needs to be arranged in advance. It is also worth checking with your own bank before you travel:

  • Tell your bank you will be using your card in Korea so a payment is not blocked as unusual activity.
  • Check your daily spending limit, especially if you are planning a larger lifting or combination treatment.
  • Ask about foreign transaction fees and how currency conversion is charged.
  • Carry a backup card from a different provider in case one is declined.

Receipts and paperwork

Ask reception for a receipt or treatment summary if you need one for your own records. If you plan to claim anything back at home, or you want details of what was used for a follow-up with your own doctor, mention this at the start so the team can prepare what you need in English.

Tax refunds for visitors

Some visitors ask whether a tourist tax refund applies to aesthetic treatment. Whether it does depends on current Korean rules and on the specific treatment, and those rules can change. Please do not assume a refund will apply. Ask the team when you book, and see our page on tax refunds for visitors for the general picture.

Budgeting your trip sensibly

It helps to think about treatment cost alongside the rest of your trip. A few practical points:

  • Leave room for the plan to change. After the consultation, the doctor may suggest a gentler option, fewer steps or a different order.
  • Think in courses, not single visits. Skin renewal treatments such as laser toning often work best as a course spaced around the skin's roughly 28-day cycle, so ask how many sessions are realistic during your stay.
  • Factor in home care. We prescribe pH-5.5-matched home care to protect your results; ask whether it is included in your quote.
  • Results vary from person to person. A higher spend does not guarantee a better result. The right plan is the one matched to the layer your concern starts in.

If you have questions about cost at any stage, ask. Clear communication about money is part of good care, and the team is happy to go through every line of your plan with you before you commit.

Questions about payment

  • Can I get a price before I fly to Seoul?

Yes. Message us on WhatsApp with your concerns, clear photos and travel dates and we will send a personalised quote. The final plan and cost are confirmed with a director at your consultation, after they have examined your skin.

  • Which cards or payment methods do you accept?

Accepted methods can change, so please ask the team on WhatsApp before you travel. It is also wise to tell your bank about your trip and check your card's spending limit.

  • Do I have to pay a deposit to book?

Booking arrangements can vary by treatment and date. Ask the team when you book on WhatsApp and they will explain exactly what is needed to hold your appointment.

  • Will I get a tax refund on my treatment?

We cannot promise that a refund applies. Eligibility depends on current Korean rules and on the treatment you have, so please ask the team when booking.
