Exosome Therapy in Seoul

Exosome therapy supports the skin’s natural regeneration. It is often used to help skin recover after laser or energy treatments, and to restore a calmer, healthier glow.

What exosome therapy is and how it works

Exosomes are tiny carriers that cells use to send signals to one another. In skin treatments, exosome products are applied or delivered into the skin to support its natural regeneration processes. At Obliv Clinic, exosome therapy belongs to our Collagen Boost programme, alongside Rejuran and skin boosters, as one of the options we use to help skin repair, rebuild resilience and look healthier.

Exosomes can be used on their own or as an ingredient within a broader skin-booster treatment, where they may be combined with HA, PDRN or growth factors. Your doctor will explain which form is planned for you and why.

Which layer it targets and who it suits

Our doctors use an 8-layer Skin Architecture model — epidermis, upper dermis, full-thickness dermis, lower dermis, subcutaneous fat, fascia, muscle and bone — to decide where a concern starts and how deep to treat. Exosome therapy focuses on the epidermis and dermis, the layers most involved in surface quality, recovery and barrier health.

Exosome therapy may suit you if you have:

  • Skin that is recovering from laser, microneedling or other treatments
  • Dullness or a tired look despite a good routine
  • Sensitive or easily stressed skin that needs calm support
  • Early texture changes or fine lines

What happens on the day

Every plan starts with a consultation with a director. They may use Mark-Vu imaging to analyse pores, pigment, wrinkles, redness and oil–moisture balance, then decide where exosome therapy fits — as a standalone session or as part of a combined treatment. Your plan is saved in your Skin Library.

Exosomes are often delivered straight after a treatment that creates channels in the skin, such as Potenza RF microneedling or a laser, which is why they are frequently part of a larger session. When used on their own, delivery is quick, and the doctor will discuss comfort options with you.

Downtime, results and aftercare

Exosome therapy itself generally involves little downtime; any redness you notice is usually linked to the treatment it was combined with. Many people find their skin looks calmer and more even over the following days, with improvements building over a course of sessions. Results vary from person to person.

Our barrier-first approach applies here too: we reinforce the skin barrier with ceramides and HA before main treatments, protect it afterwards, and prescribe pH-5.5-matched home care. After any laser, daily SPF50+ is essential.

Often combined with

Exosomes pair well with resurfacing and microneedling — for example U-Pulse fractional CO2 or Potenza — to support recovery. They are also combined with Rejuran and other skin boosters for a more complete regenerative plan.

Is it right for me?

Exosome therapy is a supportive, skin-quality treatment. It is not a replacement for lifting, volume restoration or targeted pigment treatment, and your doctor will say so if another approach would serve you better. If you have a skin condition such as active acne or rosacea, the doctor examines you first and adjusts the plan accordingly.

For international visitors

Because downtime is low, exosome therapy is easy to fit into a short stay — and it is a useful add-on if you are having a laser treatment in Seoul and want to support recovery before flying. The clinic is about 5 minutes on foot from Jonggak and Euljiro 1-ga stations, close to Myeongdong, and booking in English is simple on WhatsApp.

Aftercare in the first week

Follow the aftercare for whichever main treatment exosomes were paired with. In general: keep cleansing gentle, use your pH-5.5-matched prescribed home care , avoid saunas and heavy exercise while skin is warm, and apply SPF50+ every morning. Hold off on scrubs, peels and strong actives until the doctor says your skin has settled. If you are flying soon after, keep your skin well moisturised during the flight. Message the team on WhatsApp if anything feels unusual.

Exosome therapy: common questions

  • Can exosomes be added to my laser treatment?

Often, yes. Exosomes are frequently used straight after laser or microneedling to support recovery. Your doctor will confirm whether it suits the treatment planned for you.

  • Is there downtime?

On its own, exosome therapy usually involves little downtime. Any redness is more often from the treatment it is combined with, and your doctor will tell you what to expect.

  • How soon will I see a difference?

Some people notice calmer, fresher-looking skin within days, while other changes build over a course of sessions. Results vary from person to person.

  • How much does exosome therapy cost?

It depends on whether it is a standalone treatment or an add-on. Ask us on WhatsApp for a personalised quote.
