Skin Boosters in Seoul
Skin boosters deliver hydrating and regenerative ingredients into the skin to improve glow, texture and resilience. Our doctors choose the formula based on what your skin needs most.
What skin boosters are and how they work
“Skin booster” is a broad name for injectable treatments that improve skin quality from within rather than changing facial shape. Instead of adding volume in one spot, a booster is spread in small amounts across an area so that the whole surface benefits. The ingredients used at Obliv Clinic include:
- Hyaluronic acid (HA) — attracts and holds water for deep hydration and a smoother surface
- PDRN — used to support skin regeneration and repair
- Exosomes — signalling carriers used to support recovery and resilience
- Growth factors — used to support the skin’s renewal processes
Boosters belong to our Collagen Boost programme, alongside Rejuran and exosome therapy . They are also part of our approach to redness and sensitive skin, where gentle, supportive treatment is often more appropriate than strong lasers.
Which layer it targets and who it suits
Our doctors use an 8-layer Skin Architecture model — epidermis, upper dermis, full-thickness dermis, lower dermis, subcutaneous fat, fascia, muscle and bone — to pinpoint where a concern starts. Skin boosters work in the dermis, where hydration, elasticity and texture are determined.
Skin boosters may suit you if you have:
- Dry, dehydrated or tight-feeling skin
- Dullness and a lack of glow
- Fine lines that look worse when skin is dry
- Sensitive or reactive skin that needs calm, supportive care
- A goal such as “glass skin” or a fresher look before an event

What happens on the day
A director sees you from your first consultation. Mark-Vu imaging can analyse pores, pigment, wrinkles, redness and oil–moisture balance, which helps the doctor choose between an HA-focused, PDRN-focused or exosome-based booster — or a blend. The plan is saved in your Skin Library.
The skin is cleansed, comfort options are discussed, and the booster is injected in small, even amounts across the planned area. For people who prefer to avoid needles, the doctor may suggest Mirajet , a needle-free jet injection that delivers HA and brightening ingredients.
Downtime, results and aftercare
Small bumps at the injection points, mild redness or light bruising are possible and usually settle within a short time. Many people notice skin looking more hydrated and luminous within days, with further improvement over a course of sessions. Results vary from person to person, and boosters need regular maintenance to keep the effect.
Aftercare follows our barrier-first approach: ceramides and HA to reinforce the barrier, protection after treatment, and pH-5.5-matched prescribed home care to continue at home.
Often combined with
Boosters complement almost every other treatment. They are added after laser or Potenza to support recovery, combined with collagen injections for elasticity, and used between energy-lifting sessions to keep skin quality high.
Is it right for me?
Boosters improve skin quality, not structure. If sagging or volume loss is your main concern, the doctor will suggest lifting, collagen stimulators or filler. If you have rosacea, active acne or another skin condition, a doctor examines you first and adapts the plan.
For international visitors
With low downtime, skin boosters fit neatly into a short trip and are a popular choice before weddings and events. The clinic is about 5 minutes on foot from Jonggak and Euljiro 1-ga stations, close to Myeongdong, and you can book in English on WhatsApp.
Choosing between booster types
Because "skin booster" covers several ingredients, people often ask which one is right for them. The doctor makes the final choice after examining your skin, but the general thinking is:
- Mainly dry or tight skin: an HA-focused booster is usually the starting point
- Tired, stressed or post-treatment skin: PDRN or Rejuran may be preferred for regeneration
- Recovery and resilience: exosomes or growth factors can be added to support renewal
- Needle-averse or very reactive skin: Mirajet may be a gentler route
Many plans blend more than one, and the mix can change between sessions as your skin improves. Your Skin Library records what was used each time, so later visits build on what worked. See our glowing skin goal for how boosters fit into a wider plan.

Skin boosters: common questions
Which skin booster is best for me?
It depends on your skin. HA-focused boosters suit dehydration, while PDRN, exosomes or growth factors are chosen when regeneration and resilience are the priority. Your doctor decides after examining your skin and reviewing your goals.
Is a skin booster the same as filler?
No. Filler is placed to add volume or reshape an area, while a booster is spread thinly to improve overall skin quality. Boosters do not change your facial contour.
How long before an event should I have one?
Allow a few days for any small bumps to settle. If you are planning for a wedding or major event, ask the team when you book so the doctor can suggest timing.
How much do skin boosters cost?
Cost depends on the formula and area. Ask us on WhatsApp for a personalised quote.
