English Support for Visitors
Understanding your treatment matters. From your first WhatsApp message to aftercare questions from home, you can communicate with us in English.
Why language matters in a clinic
Aesthetic and dermatology treatments involve real decisions: which option suits you, what the risks and downtime are, how to look after your skin afterwards. You should never have to agree to something you have not fully understood. For visitors to Seoul, clear communication in a familiar language is one of the most important things to look for in a clinic.
At Obliv Clinic Seoul Origin, international visitors can communicate with us in English throughout their journey. Here is how that works in practice.
Before your visit
Booking on WhatsApp in English
Our main booking channel for international visitors is WhatsApp, at wa.link/oblivmyeongdong . You can write in English to ask questions, share photos, check availability and receive a personalised quote. Having everything in writing means you can re-read details at your own pace and share them with a partner or friend if you wish. See How to Book and WhatsApp Consultation .
Tell us your language needs
When you book, let us know if English is your preferred language and whether anything would make the visit easier for you, for example if you would like key information written down. This helps the team prepare.
On the day
Registration
The team will help you complete registration and your medical history. Take your time, and ask if any question on the form is unclear. Accurate information about medications, allergies and previous treatments is important for your safety.
Consultation
A director sees you from your first consultation and explains what the skin analysis shows, which layer your concern starts in, and what the options are. Our 8-layer Skin Architecture model — from the epidermis down to muscle and bone — is a visual way of explaining why one treatment is suggested rather than another, which many visitors find helps understanding across languages.
Consent
Before any treatment, you should understand what will be done, what you may feel, the expected downtime and the possible side effects. If anything is unclear, ask again; it is always fine to pause. You are never obliged to have treatment on the day. Read more on Safety & Consent .
After your visit
Aftercare you can follow
You will receive aftercare guidance before you leave. Common points include sun protection (SPF50+ after laser), avoiding saunas, alcohol and strenuous exercise on the day of injections, and how to use any prescribed home care.
Questions from home
Once you are home, you can continue to message us on WhatsApp in English if you have questions about how your skin is healing or about your next visit. Every treatment is recorded in your Skin Library, so the team can refer back to exactly what was done. See Follow-Up From Abroad .
Practical tips
- Save your WhatsApp conversation with us; it contains your appointment details and the address.
- Have a translation app on your phone as a backup for taxis and directions.
- Write down your questions before the consultation so nothing is forgotten.
- Keep a list of your medications in English and, if possible, their generic names.
Useful phrases to have ready
You will not need Korean to visit us, but a few prepared notes can make the rest of the day smoother — especially for taxis, pharmacies or explaining your skin history clearly. Consider saving these in your phone notes before you travel:
- The clinic address: Pagoda Tower, 93 Cheonggyecheon-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul — easy to show a taxi driver.
- Your nearest station: Jonggak (Line 1) or Euljiro 1-ga (Line 2), both about 5 minutes on foot. See the subway guide .
- Your medical summary: current medicines, allergies, any skin conditions and recent treatments, in short English sentences.
- Your main goal in one line: for example, “I would like to improve redness with little downtime because I fly home on Sunday.”
A clear one-line goal helps the doctor focus the conversation from the start. If you are planning your first appointment, read your first visit for what to expect from arrival to aftercare.
