Visiting the clinic with friends
Travelling to Seoul with a friend, partner or family member? Here is how to book together, keep your visit running smoothly and make sure each person still gets a plan made for their own skin.
Same trip, separate plans
Many visitors come to Obliv with someone else — friends on a beauty trip, couples, mothers and daughters, or colleagues on a work visit. Coming together is relaxed and fun, but it is worth remembering one thing from the start: each person's skin is different. Two friends who both want “glowing skin” may need quite different treatments once a doctor has looked closely.
At Obliv every patient has their own consultation with a director. We use our 8-layer Skin Architecture approach to work out whether a concern starts in the epidermis, the dermis, the fat layer or deeper, and only then decide on depth and device. Mark-Vu skin analysis can help show pigment, pores, wrinkles, redness and oil–moisture balance, and each person's treatments are recorded in their own Skin Library file.
How to book as a group
- Message us once on WhatsApp. One person can contact us at wa.link/oblivmyeongdong for everyone. Tell us how many people are coming and your travel dates.
- Share each person's goals. A short note per person — for example “lifting around the jawline”, “pigment on cheeks”, “first time, not sure” — helps us allow enough time. Clear daylight photos are welcome but optional.
- Tell us your preferred times. We will try to schedule consultations close together or back to back so you can arrive and leave at roughly the same time.
- Confirm the booking. We confirm the times for each person. Costs are individual; ask us on WhatsApp for a personalised quote for each person.
On the day
Arrive together at Pagoda Tower, 93 Cheonggyecheon-ro. The Skin & Body Clinic is on the first and second floors. While one of you is in consultation or treatment, the others can relax in Café Obliv Ansik, our lounge.
A few practical points help a group visit go smoothly:
- Expect different timings. A quick Botox session is much shorter than an energy-lifting treatment such as Ultherapy PRIME , which needs preparation and more time on the bed.
- Consultations are private. You are welcome to bring a friend into your consultation if you wish, but it is your choice. Medical history and consent are always discussed with you personally.
- Decide for yourself. It is easy to feel swept along when a friend books something. The doctor may suggest a different option for you, or advise waiting — and that is part of good care.
Planning downtime as a group
If you have plans together — dinners, photos, a trip outside Seoul — think about downtime before you book. Treatments such as Pico Toning or skin boosters usually mean little visible downtime, while deeper resurfacing like a CO2 laser needs a period of recovery. After injectables, avoid touching the area for 4–6 hours and skip the sauna, alcohol and strenuous exercise that day, so a celebratory night out may be better planned for later in the trip.
A simple approach is to have consultations early in your stay, then book treatments with more aftercare for days when the group has a quieter schedule. Our page on Downtime & Travel goes into more detail.
Coming with a partner
Couples often visit together, and men are very welcome — see our Guide for Men . Concerns such as a square jaw, sagging or enlarged pores are common to everyone, but the dose, depth and device are tailored to each face.
Getting here together
The clinic is about 5 minutes on foot from Jonggak (Line 1) and Euljiro 1-ga (Line 2), with Myeongdong a short walk south. Skin, body and scalp clinics are open Monday to Friday 10:00–21:00 and weekends 10:00–19:00, which gives groups plenty of flexibility.
Looking after each other afterwards
One of the nicest parts of visiting together is having someone to help with aftercare. Remind each other to reapply sunscreen when you are out sightseeing, and keep an eye on any instructions the doctor gave each person — they may be quite different. If one of you has had a laser treatment and the other an injectable, your evening plans may need to suit the stricter set of rules.
Back home, each person can message us separately on WhatsApp with questions about their own treatment. Because everyone has an individual Skin Library record, the team can answer based on exactly what you had. Our guide to aftercare before flying home covers the last days of your trip.

Questions about visiting together
Can one person book for the whole group?
Yes. One person can message us on WhatsApp with everyone's names, goals and preferred times. We will confirm a slot for each person and keep you updated in the same chat.
Can we have our consultations together?
Each person has their own consultation with a director, but you can bring a friend in with you if you are comfortable with that. Medical history and consent are always discussed with the patient personally.
Will we get the same treatment?
Not necessarily. Even similar goals can start in different skin layers, so the doctor plans each person individually. Results also vary from person to person.
Is there somewhere to wait?
Yes. While one person is being treated, others can relax in Café Obliv Ansik, the clinic lounge.
