Forehead Filler in Seoul

A softly rounded forehead can change how the whole upper face reads. At Obliv Clinic, a director plans forehead filler from the deepest layer up, aiming for a smooth, natural curve rather than visible volume.

What forehead filler is and how it works

Forehead filler is an injectable treatment that adds gentle volume to a forehead that looks flat, sloped or slightly hollow. In profile, a smooth convex curve from the hairline to the brow tends to look softer and more youthful, and many people notice that a flat forehead makes the face appear longer or more tired than they feel.

At Obliv Clinic we use two main filler families. Hyaluronic acid (HA) filler is a gel that holds water and adds smooth, adjustable volume; it typically lasts around 6–18 months. CaHA filler (calcium hydroxylapatite) gives firmer structural support and also stimulates your own collagen, typically lasting around 12–18 months. Your doctor will recommend which suits your forehead, skin thickness and goals. You can read more on our HA filler and CaHA filler pages.

Which layer it targets and who it suits

Our doctors use an 8-layer Skin Architecture model: epidermis, upper dermis, full-thickness dermis, lower dermis, subcutaneous fat, fascia, muscle and bone. Facial ageing generally works from the inside out — bone and deep fat change first, support tissue weakens, and the layers above lose their shape. For the forehead, this means the doctor usually places structural support just above the bone first, then refines the contour in the fat layer if needed. This dual-plane approach helps the result look like part of your face rather than something added on top.

Forehead filler may suit you if you have:

  • A naturally flat or slightly sloping forehead you would like to soften
  • A shallow dip or groove between the brows and hairline
  • A forehead that has lost some fullness with age
  • Uneven contours that make the upper face look less balanced

It is not a treatment for expression lines caused by muscle movement. Horizontal lines that appear when you raise your brows usually respond better to forehead Botox , and the two are sometimes planned together. See also our page on a flat forehead .

What happens on the day

Your visit starts with a consultation with a director, who sees you from the first meeting. We may use Mark-Vu imaging to look at your skin, and the doctor will assess your forehead shape from the front and in profile, discuss how much change you want, and explain the plan and any risks. Everything is recorded in your Skin Library, our digital record of every treatment.

The area is cleansed and the doctor injects in small, measured amounts, checking symmetry and profile as they go. Gentle moulding helps the product sit smoothly. Most people find it very manageable; the doctor will discuss comfort options with you.

Downtime, results and how long they last

You will see the new contour straight away, although some mild swelling, tenderness or small bruises are possible in the first days and the shape settles as this calms. On the day:

  • Avoid touching or pressing the area for 4–6 hours
  • Skip sauna, alcohol and strenuous exercise that day
  • Sleep and rest as usual, and follow any additional advice from your doctor

HA filler typically lasts around 6–18 months and CaHA around 12–18 months. How long it lasts and how it looks vary from person to person.

Often combined with

Because the forehead and brow work as one unit, forehead filler is often planned alongside temple filler , so the upper face has a continuous, smooth outline, or with forehead Botox to soften movement lines. Some people also add a collagen-stimulating treatment for skin quality.

Is it right for me?

Forehead filler is a contouring treatment, so it works best when the concern is shape rather than skin texture or wrinkles from movement. If the doctor feels another option would serve you better — for example Botox for dynamic lines, or a skin booster for thin, dull skin — they will tell you honestly. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant or have had previous forehead treatments, please mention it at consultation.

For international visitors

Many visitors combine forehead filler with a short stay in Seoul because downtime is usually limited. We suggest booking it early in your trip so the doctor can see you again before you leave if needed. The clinic is about 5 minutes on foot from Jonggak and Euljiro 1-ga stations, close to Myeongdong, and you can arrange everything in English on WhatsApp.

Forehead filler: common questions

  • Will forehead filler look obvious?

The aim is a smooth, natural curve rather than a noticeable bump. The doctor builds support in small amounts, checks your profile throughout and stops when the shape looks balanced with your brows and hairline. Results vary from person to person.

  • Does forehead filler remove forehead wrinkles?

Filler shapes the forehead; it is not the main treatment for lines caused by raising your brows. Those expression lines usually respond better to forehead Botox. The doctor may suggest combining the two if both shape and movement lines bother you.

  • How much does forehead filler cost?

The amount of product needed differs a lot between people, so we do not publish a fixed price. Ask us on WhatsApp for a personalised quote, and the doctor will confirm the plan at consultation.

  • Can I fly home soon after treatment?

Many visitors fly within a few days, but it is sensible to have treatment early in your stay so the doctor can check you if anything needs attention. Follow the day-of aftercare and ask the team about your travel dates when you book.
