Crow's feet Botox in Seoul
Crow's feet are the fan of lines at the outer corners of the eyes that deepen when you smile. A light, well-placed dose of Botox can soften them while keeping your smile warm and natural.
What crow's feet Botox is and how it works
Around each eye is a ring-shaped muscle that closes the eyelids and tightens the outer corners when you smile, laugh or squint. Every time it contracts, the thin skin beside the eye folds into a fan of lines. Because this skin is among the thinnest on the face, the folds tend to show early — often from the late 20s or 30s — and gradually become visible even when you are not smiling.
Crow's feet Botox places small doses of Botox into the outer part of this muscle. As it relaxes slightly, the skin is creased less forcefully, so the lines look softer. The aim is not to stop you smiling, but to take the edge off the creasing so your eyes look fresher.
Which layer it targets and who it suits
In our 8-layer Skin Architecture model — epidermis, upper dermis, full-thickness dermis, lower dermis, subcutaneous fat, fascia, muscle and bone — crow's feet Botox works in the muscle layer. But crow's feet often involve more than one layer: the skin around the eyes is thin and loses collagen over time, and sun exposure adds to the damage.
Crow's feet Botox is often considered for:
- Lines at the outer eye that deepen when smiling or squinting
- Early lines that are starting to show at rest
- People who squint often, for example in bright light
- Anyone wanting a fresher look around the eyes without changing their expression
If the lines remain clearly visible at rest because the skin itself is thin or crepey, the doctor may suggest adding skin-quality support such as skin boosters , Rejuran or a gentle energy treatment like Sofwave . Hollowness under the eyes is a separate concern and may be discussed with under-eye filler .
What happens on the day
A director sees you from the first consultation. The doctor asks you to smile broadly, squint and relax, and watches how the lines form and how far they extend towards the cheek. Placement matters here: injecting too low or too much can affect the smile, so a conservative, precise approach is used. Your plan is recorded in your Skin Library so it can be refined next time.
The treatment takes only a few minutes. A very fine needle is used at a few points on each side, and most people feel brief, light pinches.
Downtime, results and how long they last
Visible downtime is usually minimal. The skin around the eyes bruises more easily than other areas, so a small bruise is possible. On the day, avoid touching or rubbing the area for 4–6 hours, and skip saunas, alcohol and strenuous exercise.
- Starts working: about 3–7 days
- Peak effect: around 2 weeks
- Lasts: roughly 4–6 months
Results vary from person to person. Lines that are visible at rest often soften gradually over repeated sessions.
Often combined with
Many people treat the whole upper face together, combining crow's feet Botox with forehead Botox and frown line Botox . For the thin skin around the eyes, skin boosters or Rejuran can support hydration and regeneration. The doctor will suggest what fits your face.
Is it right for me?
Crow's feet Botox suits most people whose lines are driven by smiling and squinting. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and some neuromuscular conditions and medications must be discussed first. If your main concern is under-eye hollowing or skin laxity, we will suggest a more suitable approach.

Questions about crow's feet Botox
Will it change my smile?
The aim is to soften the creasing at the outer eyes, not to stop you smiling. The doctor watches how you smile and uses conservative, precise placement to keep your expression natural.
Can Botox help lines that show without smiling?
Lines visible at rest often soften gradually with repeated sessions. Because the skin around the eyes is thin, the doctor may also suggest skin-quality treatments to support it.
Is bruising common around the eyes?
The skin here is delicate and bruises more easily than other areas, so a small bruise is possible. It usually fades on its own and can be covered with make-up after the first day.
How long do results last?
Usually around 4–6 months, beginning after about 3–7 days and peaking at around 2 weeks. This varies from person to person.
