A Skin Maintenance Plan

Instead of one-off fixes, a year-round plan that keeps skin healthy and slows visible change. Every step is recorded so each visit builds on the last.

What a maintenance plan really means

Many people only seek treatment when something bothers them: a new line, a patch of pigment, skin that suddenly looks tired. A maintenance plan works the other way round. It sets out a calendar of treatments and home care designed to keep skin in good condition and to slow visible change, so that large corrections are needed less often.

It is particularly useful for international visitors who come to Seoul regularly, because each trip can be used efficiently rather than starting from scratch. At Obliv Clinic Seoul Origin every treatment is recorded in your Skin Library , a digital record of what was done, where and when, so the doctor can plan your next visit precisely.

Which layers are involved

A good plan looks after several layers of our 8-layer Skin Architecture model at once — epidermis, upper dermis, full-thickness dermis, lower dermis, subcutaneous fat, fascia, muscle and bone:

  • Epidermis: barrier, hydration, tone and texture, which need the most frequent attention.
  • Dermis: collagen, which falls by roughly 1% a year from around 20 and faster after menopause.
  • Deeper support: the fat, fascia and bone structure that holds the face up, which change more slowly.

Each layer has its own rhythm, which is why a maintenance plan combines treatments with different intervals.

Building a plan

Your plan starts with Mark-Vu analysis and a consultation with a director, then is set out roughly as follows. Intervals are typical and are adjusted for you.

Every visit

Barrier reinforcement before main treatments and barrier protection afterwards, plus a review of your prescribed home care matched to pH 5.5.

Every few months

Tone and glow treatments such as Nobleen laser toning , skin boosters or Mirajet, often arranged as a series because skin renews about every 28 days. Botox, if used, typically lasts around four to six months.

Once or twice a year

Energy-based lifting: RF treatments such as Thermage or OLIGIO X typically last around six to twelve months; HIFU such as Ultherapy PRIME or CoolSoniq typically around 12 to 18 months.

Every one to two years

Collagen stimulators such as PCL or PLLA, which typically last around 12 to 24 months, and filler top-ups if structural support is needed.

By decade

The emphasis shifts with age: prevention in your 20s, maintenance in your 30s, and from your 40s a combination of energy lifting, collagen stimulation and volume.

Timeline around trips and events

If you visit Seoul on a regular schedule, the doctor can align longer-lasting treatments with your trips and suggest what to do at home in between. Before an important event, keep to familiar treatments and avoid trying anything new in the final weeks. Botox peaks around two weeks after treatment, and energy lifting reaches its final effect at three to six months.

Keeping results

  • Daily sunscreen protects collagen and helps prevent pigment.
  • Use the home care you are prescribed consistently.
  • Message us on WhatsApp before each trip so the next visit can be planned around your Skin Library record.

Results vary from person to person.

Adjusting the plan through the seasons

Skin behaves differently across the year, and Seoul's seasons are a good reminder of that. A maintenance plan usually shifts its focus accordingly:

  • Summer: strong UV and humidity make sun protection and oil balance the priority; pigment work is planned carefully, with strict SPF50+ afterwards.
  • Autumn: often a good time for laser toning and resurfacing, before the skin faces winter dryness.
  • Winter: dry indoor heating can weaken the barrier, so hydration, skin boosters and barrier care come forward.
  • Spring: a sensible point to review your Skin Library record and plan lifting or collagen work for the year ahead.

Your own climate at home matters too, so tell the doctor where you live. Prescribed home care can be adjusted between visits. Results vary from person to person.

Skin maintenance: common questions

  • What is the Skin Library?

It is our digital record of every treatment you have had with us, including what was done and when. It lets the doctor plan each visit based on your actual history.

  • How often should I come in?

It depends on your plan. Some treatments are repeated every few months, others once or twice a year. The doctor sets intervals that fit your skin and how often you visit Seoul.

  • I only visit Seoul once a year. Is a plan still useful?

Yes. The doctor can prioritise longer-lasting treatments for your visit and give you a home-care routine for the months in between.

  • At what age should I start?

There is no fixed age. In general, the 20s focus on prevention, the 30s on maintenance, and from the 40s on a combination of lifting, collagen stimulation and volume.
